Last dive day in Morehead City, and the Sand Tigers decided to send us home with a SHOW! 🦈🤿

The Spar is an absolutely beautiful wreck, but then Sand Tigers show up, the wreck is suddenly just the supporting cast! 😂 These sharks absolutely stole the show today, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up an incredible trip.

A HUGE thank you to everyone at Dive Center for taking such amazing care of us from start to finish. From the planning, to our captain, to the deck hands, every single person made this trip easy, fun, and unforgettable. Your hospitality was top-notch, and we truly appreciate you!

We’re already talking about bringing a MUCH bigger crew back next time! Because apparently, a few Sand Tigers just weren’t enough. 😉🦈

🤿 What a weekend of diving! 🤿

The water was busy, the skills were getting sharper, and there were plenty of reasons to celebrate at Great American Divers! 💙

🎉 Congratulations to Andrew, Graeme, and Rachel on completing their Open Water Certifications! Welcome to the underwater world—you’re officially cleared for adventure! 🌊🐠

👏 Jess absolutely crushed her first breaths underwater with a Discover Scuba! Those first underwater moments are pretty special, and she did fantastic!

💪 Brandon and Riley wrapped up their practical assessments for their Divemaster certifications! You’re getting closer and closer to joining the ranks of the pros. Keep grinding!

🐠 Amy, Ewan, and Janet got some fun dives in to sharpen their skills, build confidence, and—let’s be honest—enjoy some quality time underwater!

And it was fantastic seeing Chuck and Kim getting a few extra dives under their belts, too! Sometimes the best way to get better is simply to get in the water and dive!

We LOVE seeing our dive community continuing to learn, grow, practice, and have fun together. 💙

📸 And yes… we completely failed at the photo game. 😂 Sorry we missed the opportunity to snag pictures of everyone! Apparently, we were too busy diving to remember the cameras. 🤷‍♀️

The last couple of weeks have been an absolute whirlwind here at Great American Divers… and we wouldn’t have it any other way! 🌊🤿

Between Open Water classes, an incredible Seal Team Scuba Camp, and several amazing trips to Mermet Springs, our instructors, Divemasters, and students have been making the most of every minute underwater.

A huge congratulations to all of our newest certified divers! 👏

You’ve put in the time, embraced the challenges, and earned certifications that will open the door to even more underwater adventures. We couldn’t be prouder!

Our Seal Team Scuba Camp was also a huge success! Watching these young divers build confidence, learn new skills, and discover a passion for the underwater world was the highlight of our week. Every one of them did an amazing job, and we can’t wait to see where their scuba journey takes them!

To everyone who joined us in the classroom, the pool, or at Mermet Springs—thank you for making this community so special. Your enthusiasm and love for diving are what keep us going.

Here’s to many more bubbles, adventures, and certifications ahead! 💙🤿

July 18 is PADI Women's Dive Day, and we are celebrating in the best way we know how: by getting in the water together!

This day is for every woman who has ever felt the pull of the underwater world, whether you have been diving for decades, just earned your certification, or have been thinking about it and haven't quite taken the leap yet.

Women's Dive Day is one of our favorite days on the calendar because it's a reminder of just how many incredible women are part of this community. They lead dives, teach courses, explore new destinations, and show up every week to make this sport better for everyone around them. That deserves to be celebrated.

Join us on July 18 for a day of diving, community, and fun. Tag a dive buddy in the comments, bring a friend who has been curious about getting in the water, and come ready to make some great memories.

This is the one you don't want to miss! Our final Scuba Camp of the summer runs July 20-24 from 9 A.M. to noon at the AquaCenter, and it's the last one of its kind until next year.

If your child has been asking about diving, talking about it after a friend went, or just looking for something exciting to do before school starts back up, this is perfect for them.
