This is a new volunteer/fundraising opportunity that Blackhurst PTO is doing this year! You do NOT have to have a child enrolled in Blackhurst to volunteer! Friends, family, aunts, uncles, grandma’s, grandpa’s, parents, and step-parents are all welcome to sign up and volunteer in the VIP tent at Oktoberfest this year! 🏖️ Plan family vacations around school breaks and holidays
🩺 Schedule appointments when possible to minimize missed instructional time
📚 Keep track of important school dates and no-school days
📝 Plan ahead for days when your student may need to be absent
🗓️ Coordinate your family’s schedule with the school calendar
We encourage families to plan vacations and appointments around scheduled school breaks whenever possible so students can make the most of their time in the classroom.

The online residency verification window closed July 22. If you have not submitted your proof of residency, we will be hosting an in-person residency verification event:
📅 Wednesday, July 29
🕗 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
📍 Jefferson Intermediate School
Please bring all required supporting documents from both List A and List B.

What This Means for Your Family:
Only one person per family needs to complete the verification process, even if you have children attending multiple schools.
We will notify you once your documents have been reviewed and approved.
If you need to complete a Residency Affidavit, the homeowner or lessee must attend with you and bring a valid photo ID.

Important Reminder:
If you received an email confirming that your proof of residency has been submitted, but you have not yet logged into PowerSchool to complete the required student forms, please do so as soon as possible. Your student's enrollment is not complete until all required forms have been submitted.

Already received your child's Meet the Teacher letter?
Great news! That means your child has been successfully enrolled, and we have received and approved all required residency documents. No further action is needed.
