2026 ECC Water Fun Day!

During regular class time, students will get to spend extra time outside
for water play on our playground!

Important Notes for Guardians:

➢ Please have your child wear a swimsuit to school, or clothes you don’t mind
getting wet.
➢ Communicate with your child’s teacher if you wish for them to keep their swim
shirt on, in addition to their swimsuit, during outside water play.
➢ Water shoes, sandals with straps, or closed-toe shoes that can get wet. (NO
FLIP FLOPS FOR SAFETY REASONS)
➢ Apply sunscreen to child before coming to school (or PM sessions can ask their
daycare). Staff will not be applying sunscreen.
➢ Send a towel labeled with your child’s name.
➢ Send a complete change of clothes and shoes. Staff will help the children change
with respect to their privacy.
➢ We will look at the forecast the week prior to water day--if a significant amount of rain is expected, we will reschedule to Thursday, May 14 or Friday, May 15
--announcements will go out to all families if there are changes to the dates.

❄️ December 2 Snow Day ☃️

Due to this evening’s additional snow and the potential for overnight refreezing, the City of St. Charles School District will have a traditional snow day on December 2, 2025, out of an abundance of caution. This means no in-person or virtual classes. We hope our SCSD family enjoys their day off.

We will determine evening activities at the high schools tomorrow.

After an exciting weekend of Halloween fun, it may be tough to get up and get going Monday morning. No worries!
Save time by coming to school in your pajamas!
Please continue to have your child wear closed toed shoes for safety on the playground.
