SEARCHING FOR BOARD GAME DONATIONS!
If you have any board games around the house you are looking to get rid of, Hardin would love to have them! We have a board game closet in the cafeteria that students borrow games from to play during lunch. Many of our students enjoy the games! Please drop off any donations to the front office. Thank you!!

My name is Cesar Soto, I am originally from Venezuela, I am going to teach ELL for 7 grade.
About me:
I came to United States to play baseball, and I was blessed to play in college. After my college career was over, I have been coaching around four years and passing down my knowledge and experiences to my players.
I am really excited to start my career as a teacher with one of the subjects that personally was a challenge for me. When I went to college, I barely spoke English, but with a lot of dedication and practice I got to overcome those challenges. Now I have the privilege to pass down that knowledge and help my students in the classroom. My goal is to help my students be more comfortable and fluent with the language by the end of this school year.

Hi! My name is Morgan Edwards, and this is my second year at Hardin! I teach 8th grade English. I spent my summer making memories and taking trips with family and friends. When I’m not at school, you can usually find me hanging out with my puppies, exploring new places, or enjoying time with the people I love. If you’d like to contribute to my classroom it would be greatly appreciated. I’m excited for another year at Hardin!

Hi Hardin families! I am Tara Higgins, and this will be my 6th year teaching 8th grade ELA. I also do after school tutoring, drama club, and the 8th grade formal.

This summer, I traveled to Japan, visited the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone, and relaxed at the lake. I've also enjoyed reading tons of books, watching shows at The Muny, and spending time with my husband and our golden retriever, Camper!

I am looking forward to meeting my new students and learning together! If you are interested in supporting my class with donations, here is the link to my wishlist:

Hi, Hardin family!

My name is Leona Tangell Lippincott, and I'm so excited to be joining the Hardin team! This will be my sixth year teaching, and I'll be teaching 8th grade Special Education Math. Prior to this, I worked with Special School District, where I taught 3rd–5th grade students.
I have two boys—an 11-year-old who has lots of energy and a 14-year-old. My youngest enjoys hockey and BMX, while my oldest loves golf. We also have a dog and a cat who keep life interesting! I was born and raised in Florida, so I love the sunshine and definitely dislike cold winters. In my free time, I enjoy reading, swimming, cooking with my youngest son and spending time out in the country.
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone, becoming part of the Hardin family, and helping our students grow in confidence and succeed in math. I can't wait to get started!

Did you know the new addition at Hardin is an official tornado shelter? Today we are practicing all of our drills! Our tornado shelter can hold the entire population of Hardin, and withstand an EF5 tornado. You can see in the picture we have shutters that will close over the windows and doors in the shelter, so our students and staff are safe in the event of inclement weather!

My name is Gail Rimkus-Appel, and I am thrilled to be teaching at Hardin Middle this year! I am a special education teacher who will teach Resource History 7 & 8, Adaptive FACS, and co-teach ELA 7 alongside Ms. Keen. With 26 years of teaching experience, I am deeply committed to creating a supportive, adaptive, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.
On a personal note, my husband and I do not have children, but we share our home with a very loved 17-year-old cockatiel named Sq**rt. Outside of the classroom, my favorite way to recharge is traveling to Orlando to visit close friends and explore the theme parks.
I look forward to partnering with you this school year to support your child's growth and success!
