For generations of Bonnies, St. Bonaventure has been a place to learn, grow and build lifelong connections. On Indigenous Peoples Day, we recognize that the place we call Bona’s is situated on the ancestral lands of the Seneca Nation.

Today, we honor the rich history, cultures and enduring contributions of Indigenous peoples, especially our Seneca neighbors. As members of the Bona family, we carry forward our Franciscan values through respect, understanding and a continued commitment to learning from and strengthening relationships with the communities that share this special place we call home.

At Bonaventure, caring for the whole person has always been at the heart of our Franciscan mission.

We’re proud to see that commitment strengthened through a nearly $497,000 federal grant that will expand student well-being, prevention, outreach and early support.

Great news for today’s students — and for the future of our Bonnie community.
