I’ve had several people ask me about Saturday availability… I will be able to start Saturday’s in October after cross-country season! I will announce when I open Saturday again.

I know it can be hard to motivate a middle schooler to read-competing with electronic devices AND reading difficulties. Consider making a deal-every time they DON’T want to do a CHORE, offer them the CHOICE to do the chore or READ for the amount of time it would take to do the chore…. As an ELA teacher with a reading endorsement, I have been trained in assessment and reading recovery for struggling readers. Evidence supports one-to-one tutoring for struggling readers. Reach out if you think tutoring would help your child fill in their reading gaps.

As we start into a new school year, please keep me in mind to support your students outside of school. I have experience as a classroom teacher, homeschool teacher and tutor. I am professionally licensed, hold graduate degrees, a reading endorsement, and an ESE license. We can do in-person tutoring or online. I can't wait to help your child reach their goals!
