Yesterday the Spurger Welding Team went to the Royal High School build off. After a long wet and windy day the team came in fourth place. Proud of these boys they are always learning and getting better every time they compete.

I would like to say thank you to the Kearney Trailers and all of the other sponsors that donated and helped make the Rains FFA Build off possible. This year was the first year that we went to the build off at Rains. We are looking forward to coming back next year.

The Spurger Welding Team was up and at it early this morning in Kountze at the Hardin County Build Off. The boys built a hog trap today and even though it looked simple, it had its challenges. The boys pushed through and were able to get it finished up before the whistle blew. I am proud of them for their hard work and determination can’t wait to see what else they accomplish. There were 20 teams competing today.

Build off complete kids did a excellent job today and came home with a 3rd place finish. Tough competition for sure.
