Are you a parent/guardian or someone who provides care for a child between the ages of birth-5 years old? If so, you will definitely want to take advantage of this research based curriculum used by our Head Start agency called "Active Parenting the First Five Years". We all have questions and concerns about how to best care for and love the children in our lives. This curriculum offers wonderful insight on topics that many of us may be unsure about such as:
*ages and stages of development
*preparing children for school success
*appropriate and effective discipline
and much, much more in an easy to understand format!
Information can be accessed in your home language and can be provided in different formats such as in-person trainings, videos, and/or reading materials.

The mission of the program is to help migrant students and youth meet high academic challenges by overcoming the obstacles created by frequent moves, educational disruption, cultural and language differences, and health-related problems.
One of the program goals was to create a map of resources in the community (Mitchell County) that our families can access and find the assistance they need. ICP has had a generous donation of boys clothing (all seasons) sizes 5T-8. These items will be in boxes outside the front door at the center through this Friday, April 1st and are free to whoever needs/wants them. Feel free to stop by anytime 😃

We are so excited to welcome all children to the center tomorrow for our first full day🙂 The center opens at 8am and we will dismiss at 2:30pm. If you are picking your child up please be sure that you are there by 2:30 because teachers will have to deep clean the classrooms to help prevent the spread of germs. As a reminder, if your child or any members of your household have symptoms of COVID 19 (fever, chills, shortness of breath, cough, loss of taste or smell, diarrhea. or vomiting) please do not send them to school and notify their teacher or the center director at 537-0263. We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow🥰
