9 months with our smiley boy! Swipe to see how he’s grown! 😍
Peter is now crawling ALL over the place, got his first two teeth a few days ago, and is dealing with some gnarly eczema now that we’re in the dry winter.
His sleep? Still feels so chaotic, although naps are pretty reliably good (nights are reliably not-so-good). Find full details in the blog post:

8 months with our little Petey!
He’s now saying “mama” 😏 in addition to “dada,” sitting up like a champ, making giant messes every time he eats since we switched to self-feeding, and getting so close to crawling!
He’s still as sweet as ever, and his sleep is still as sensitive as ever 🤪 meaning, something small is off with his schedule and I haven’t yet pinpointed what it is. On a positive note, we’re done with nightfeeds! But we’re now dealing with early morning wakes 🙃 I have to remind myself that other babies get far less sleep than Pete and still turn out fine, so Pete will be fine, too 🤪

7 months with our smiley little guy!
While his sleep isn’t quite as consistent as Holly’s was by this age (and actually, by about 5 months in her case), it is LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than it was a month ago. We’re testing the waters with the 3-2 nap transition right now, and I’m hoping by next month I’ll be able to say he sleeps through the night! 🤣 fullllll details on his sleep in the blog post:

A few days late but, we’re halfway to a year!! 🤯
This boy is the sweetest, happiest little soul, and I love him SO MUCH! My favorite new development is that he’ll now snuggle with me during his bedtime song 🥰🥰
Sleep on the other hand, has been a straight up monster. 12+ weeks of working on it, and it’s still not what I think it should be (based on books, working with many clients, and personal experience). Full details about all the mayhem in the blog post:

Petey is 5 months old! 😍😍

He is such a happy and content baby, just like Holly was! I used to say I was terrified I’d get a demon baby for my third since Holly was so easy, but it looks like I’m lucky enough to get another little angel! 👼🏻 (my toddlers and preschoolers on the other hand, are no longer angels 🤪)

Sleep seems to FINALLY be getting better (though I said something similar a month ago and look how that turned out 🫠). Basically Pete is on the VERY low end of the sleep needs continuum, so it took longer to believe he really needed so little sleep for his age! 🤣 He definitely still needs good sleep though! He currently does about 3.75 hours of daytime sleep and 11 hours at night, which is more typical of a 7-month old. Four months old!
He laughs and smiles so much and he’s typically just a very happy and content baby 😍 He LOVES kicking around in the bathtub and pool 😍 we love this adorable boy! 🥰🥰🥰
We started sleep training early, which has had some good outcomes (falling asleep on his own, better night sleep), but we started too early so naps have taken a while to come together. Naps have been going a little bit better the last two days, so I’m crossing my fingers that we are on an upswing!
