These students are the first to earn SCA achievement jackets. We are so proud of them! All of these students completed the Summer Reading Challenge 2026! Thank you, Jerry Hill for sponsoring this award. Thank you, Marketing Matters for designing these cool jackets to help us celebrate our achievements! (Now hopefully the weather cools off so they can wear them outside.) 📚🌻🐝

Over the past 3 weeks in STEAM, our students have been learning about the properties of matter, exploring how different materials behave and interact. To wrap up their learning, students completed a conductors and insulators project by designing an ice pop holder! Their goal was to use insulating materials to slow down the melting of a popsicle. We love seeing our students put science concepts into action through creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning!

Today for 8th grade Preparation for College and Career we had Officer Robert Whyte speak to students about internet safety, digital footprints, and his police dog Gracie showed her technology discovery skills. Officer Whyte also shared with the group the path he took to become an officer and what skills are useful for his position.

Mrs. Garrison’s second graders are putting their math skills to work with a football draft and NFL math challenges while enjoying some friendly rivalry!

Mrs. Garrison's 2nd grade class drafted their NFL teams yesterday! They will be tracking them throughout the season, calculating wins and losses, completing lots of NFL math challenges, and of course enjoying the competition and rivalry! 🏈

Congratulations to our middle school girls cross country team for placing second (best ever finish) in their meet yesterday! SCA beat Eastern Greene and Shakamak in a hot race yesterday afternoon. Cat Wooster got second place overall. Olivia Spoonmore and Aubrey Knight placed in the top 10!

McCoy Minton placed 10th overall in the boys middle school cross country meet. At one point, I think he had smoke coming out of his bright shoes, it looked like his feet were on fire!

Way to go, Hornets!
