🎙️🇪🇸 ¡Hablando español en la biblioteca!

Mrs. Lance’s Honors Spanish classes visited the SHS Library to practice their speaking skills using Padlet. Students recorded themselves speaking in Spanish and then listened to and watched their classmates’ videos. What a fun way to practice, learn from each other, and build confidence! 💬👏🇪🇸

🔬STEM in the SHS Library!🔬

Last week, Mrs. Adams Biology students brought science into the library as they explored the fascinating world of cells!🧑‍🔬Using microscopes, students examined cheek cells and onion cells, getting a firsthand look at structures they’ve been learning about in class—including the microscopic world where organelles like the mitochondria do their important work!! 🧬

The library is more than a place to read—it’s a place to explore, collaborate, and learn.

Thank you for bringing Biology into the library, Mrs. Adams! We love seeing our space used for hands-on learning and discovery! ❤️ 📚🔬❤️

SHS Book of the Week 📚

This week’s pick is Out of the Wilderness by Deb Vanasse — a gripping, fast-paced novel set in Alaska’s rugged backcountry. When survival depends on courage, grit, and quick thinking, the wilderness becomes more than a setting—it’s a test of character. Perfect for readers who love adventure, strong teen protagonists, and stories where nature plays a powerful role.

Find it in the library and see if you’d survive the wild. 😉🌲❄️
