So awesome getting to host Garrett Dudley back at the Carol Jones Writing Center today! 🧠✨
It’s one thing to watch our CJWC alumni out there doing genuinely cool, interesting work. It’s even better when they share that work with the next generation of tutors and educators. That full-circle leadership is the good stuff.
Garrett is currently in an MA program for English Composition focused on AI-Integrated Writing, and our conversation hit all the best edges: the ethical use of AI, the ways it can quietly chip at critical thinking (and yes, sometimes, the human soul), and the unexpected ways it can also contribute to humanity when it’s used with care and intention, all as new information continues to inform and evolve pedagogy. And, of course, is it REALLY a Garrett-lead session if it doesn't invite dissenting viewpoints every step of the way? The discussion was peak 👌
