🚨 ATTENTION CADETS & PARENTS! 🚨

It’s that time of year again… FUNDRAISING SEASON! 🫡💸

Tomorrow , we’re kicking off our annual fundraiser for Hillcrest Army JROTC. We try to keep fundraising to a minimum, but the money raised helps pay for class/team equipment, travel meals, event fees, and most importantly, our FREE Military Ball! 🎉

Every spring, Cadets get a formal dinner and dance with Filet Mignon, sides, and desserts. 🥩 Unfortunately, filet mignon does not grow in the JROTC supply closet, so we need your help!

🍔 THIS YEAR: $25 SONIC CARDS!

Each card includes:
🍔 8 BOGO Double Smasher Burgers
🌭 8 BOGO Footlong Coneys
🧀 8 BOGO Single Patty Cheeseburgers
🥤 8 Large Drinks for $1.49 each

That’s over $130 in savings! Cards are valid through July 31, 2027 and work at participating locations in Bolivar, Willard, Stockton, Lebanon, Cassville, Nixa, Mountain View, Marshfield, Republic, and Springfield locations except 5656 S Farm Rd 157.

💰 DON’T WANT A CARD? Donations can also be made directly through the fundraising app. Share your Cadet’s sales page by text, email, or social media. Tax-deductible donations through the Foundation for Springfield Public Schools are also available—contact LTC Davis for information.

Sell 15+ cards OR raise $250+ in donations and earn the JROTC Fundraising Ribbon on October 15th!

Sell 10+ cards and get 2 FREE cards, plus 1 additional free card for every 5 sold after that. Use them, gift them, or sell them!

📦 IMPORTANT: Cadets are responsible for their cards and must return unsold cards. Please don’t let them disappear into the mysterious void known as your backpack. 😂 Cards can also be issued as sales/payment are made if needed.

Cadets,
MONDAY, September 14th (Orange) and Tuesday, September 15th (Blue) are OCP uniform days for Cadets that have been issued the OCP uniform.

This will be a graded uniform day. Please ensure you meet standards for hair, piercings, and facial hair (males).

Cadets who don't have a uniform issued yet will be excused from the uniform day. Your next opportunity to earn a uniform will be volunteering and participating in the Springfield Veteran's Day Parade.

The Hillcrest Hornet Battalion will be traveling to Leavenworth, KS Friday, 9.11.26 for the Leavenworth Raider Meet. Dinner Friday night and lunch Saturday will be provided by the program. Cadets will need snacks/drinks for travel and competition. The needs of the team are on this sign up. Please review, and if you are able to donate something, you may send it with your cadet. Welcome Back, Hillcrest Army JROTC!

We hope everyone had a great summer! We’re excited to see all of our returning and new cadets back for the first day of school (Tuesday, August 25th).

Returning Cadets: If you already have your OCP uniform, you can wear it on the first day for extra credit. If you decide to wear it, make sure you wear the complete OCP uniform with proper grooming standards.

Think of it as your first-day outfit… just with more pockets. And if you wear your OCPs, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll end up in a few first-day pictures, so make it count!

If you don’t have your OCP uniform yet, don’t worry, wearing it is completely optional.

We’re looking forward to another great year of making memories, learning new things, and growing together as a battalion. We’ll see everyone on the first day, let’s make it a great one!
