The Springfield Indian Education/Title VI Program serves Native youth and families in the Springfield School District.

The Springfield Public Schools Office of Indian Education offers culturally specific programs for Native American youth and their families. Programs include academic support and tutoring, STEM programs, college preparation, Native youth group, early literacy programming, and Native drumming, crafting and other cultural events, including the annual Pow Wow. We are so excited to host another movie night collaboration with , this time at the Art House (the old Bijou Theater)! We will be screening “Imagining the Indian: The Fight Against Native American Mascoting” and will provide $10 concession credits to everyone who attends!!

We are hosting producers Ben West and Yancey Burns who will be paneling after the 95 min movie is over!

Our tutoring services are available every Tuesday + Thursday from 4:00-6:00 PM. Tutoring is provided by a licensed teacher + supported by educational assistants, utilizing native staff when possible.
