Day 5 of the Agriculture Industry Tour to California! On our last day, we took a visit to Murray Farms. In their operation, they grow a variety of organic fruits like citrus, strawberries, blueberries, and more! We learned how the growing agritourism market has impacted their business and enjoyed some of their activities on site!

Day 4 of the Agriculture Industry Tour to California! On Thursday morning, we stopped at Rosa Farms where Holly Rosa explained their operation and gave a tour of the farm. Students got to try their hand at the milking machine and enjoy some of their dairy products and treats in their market. After lunch, we visited the Terminus Dam. Ranger Hans explained the history, purpose, and operation of the dam along with Lake Kewah.

Day 3 of the Ag Industry Tour to California! On Wednesday, we heard from Neal at Brandt Consolidated to learn about pistachio and almond production. We had a wonderful tour of their facility and farm. After lunch in Fresno, we headed out for a hike at Mariposa Grove in Yosemite National Park.

Day 2 of the Ag Industry Tour to California! On Wednesday, we toured the Cal Poly Agricultural Department and their campus farm. Dr. Ben Swan, agriculture education professor, hosted us. We had the opportunity to try products from their creamery and visit the meats lab as well. Later in the afternoon, students explored Avila Beach where they could watch the seals or brave the chilly Pacific!

Day 1 of the 2026 Ag Industry Tour to California! Eleven students boarded their flights early Tuesday morning. The first stop in California was to Holtermann Almond Ranch. Here students learned about what it takes to grow specialty crops like almonds, lemons, and other fruits. Our hostess, Jenny, did a great job of sharing their farm's story! Stay tuned for day 2!

Ag Club wrapped up the year with a cookout and awards presentation on May 6th. Congratulations to all of our winners and shoutout to all of our incredible students who have participated in our events this year!
We also want to give a huge thanks to Mr. Harmon for all of his years of service to Ag Club! He sacrifices so much of his own time to assist with events, plan outings, and take students to competitions and conferences.

Reminder that LLCC summer hours begin this week.

Summer hours are here at Lincoln Land Community College. From May 18 through Aug. 6 campus offices will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular hours resume Monday Aug. 10.
