The Graduate Student Senate is excited to welcome Michan Rule-Chowritmootoo as our new advisor! 🎉

It has only been a few weeks working with Michan, but it has already been an incredibly wonderful experience. As the Success Coach at the Missouri State University, she brings more than a decade of experience in graduate education and student services.

Michan brings an approachable personality, a genuine passion for student success, and thoughtful ideas that will shape the academic, professional, and personal experiences of graduate students.

Beyond her role as the GSS Advisor, she is also someone graduate students can turn to for guidance, encouragement, and support as they navigate the many aspects of graduate school.

We are incredibly excited about what we can accomplish together this academic year and beyond. Michan, we already love working with you and are so grateful to have you with us!😍

As we bid farewell to our incredible outgoing advisor, Madison Jordan , the Graduate Student Senate (GSS) reflects with deep gratitude on the impact you have made during your time with us.

Since taking on the role of GSS Advisor in 2025, your guidance, encouragement, and support have helped strengthen our mission to advocate for the academic, social, and professional well-being of graduate students. 🌟

Under your guidance, we have built meaningful connections with corporate partners and alumni, reviewed our constitution, and found new ways to better serve our graduate student community. Beyond these accomplishments, we will always remember you for being approachable, supportive, affable, and for bringing a positive spirit that was truly contagious.

It has been a genuine pleasure working with you. We cherish the memories and moments we shared, and we are grateful for the encouragement and belief you showed in us.

Thank you, Madison, for your guidance, your support, and everything you have done for the GSS. Your impact will remain with us, and you will truly be missed. 🙌

The Graduate Student Senate - Missouri State University (GSS) Leadership would like to recognize and appreciate our incredible volunteers; Nana Akua Florence Kwabena Agyei 🇬🇭🇺🇸 , and Benjamin Gyamfi for your assistance in helping to promote our mission to students who visited our stand yesterday at the Student Organization Festival.

Organized by the MOStateOSE - Office of Student Engagement (OSE), the event provided an opportunity for more than 100 student organizations to showcase their missions, connect with students, and welcome new members.

We are grateful to OSE for the opportunity to participate. A special thank you to our current advisor, Michan Rule-Chowritmootoo, and our outgoing advisor, Madison Keith-Jordan , for your continued guidance and support.

A new chapter begins!

On April 16, 2026, during the final monthly senate meeting of GSS 2025–2026 term, GSS newly elected leaders took the oath of office, marking the beginning of a new chapter of service, advocacy, and impact.

We look forward to a year of amplifying graduate voices, supporting student success, and driving meaningful change across our graduate student community.
