The Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement is conceptualized as a learning laboratory – for our students, our faculty and staff and the community.
The Springfield College Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement is for our community. Created as an education and health and wellness resource, the center will link the issues that Springfield College students care about with the things they believe they can change, providing a platform to develop students as leaders in service to humanity.

The Springfield College Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement are leading summer programming that assists with community needs. Most recently, in partnership with the Northeast Organic Farming Association and Sister Anna Muhammad, the Center hosted a community gardening event where surrounding neighbors could learn how to grow and harvest fresh produce while having the opportunity to take home some samples as well.

As part of their continued local outreach work, the Springfield College Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement hosted a free community event this week entitled "Be the Change: A Social Justice Initiative.”
Neighbors of the College were treated to free food, music, games, and community resources while being encouraged to show up, speak up, and never give up.

Our Homework Heroes program is currently accepting new students to be a part of an "on-call" waitlist to reserve a tutor! We operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Being a part of the waitlist would mean that if there is an opening in the program, our Graduate Associate would contact you and your student to offer a tutoring appointment the day of.
Homework Heroes is a homework help program where students can log on to Zoom and work one on one with a college student. We can help with school assignments, projects, and also help develop reading, writing, and math skills!
Our program will end on April 29, 2021 for the school year.
