You do not have to accept all the financial aid that is awarded to you. Start by accepting the financial aid funds you don't have to pay back (examples: grants and scholarships). Then, if you still need additional funds, consider federal student loans. But remember, borrow only what you NEED to cover school expenses. If you are offered more student loan funds than you need, you don't have to accept the total amount. Talk to the financial aid office at your school if you have questions. http://1.usa.gov/18gHnxF

Summer Orientation Packing Check-List

AIC will provide bed linens and towels.

To help you pack and prepare for your overnight stay, here is a helpful list of items to bring with you.

Please Bring:
•Comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind running around in; we will be having many outdoor activities, and some intramural competitions!
•A copy of the Freshman Reading Book
•A fan (It's June-you'll need one!)
•A shower caddy (with all the essentials; toothbrush, toothpaste, soap shampoo, conditioner etc.)
•Shower Shoes
•Pens and pencils; there are some things we need you to write down!
•An alarm clock
•Anything else you need to get yourself ready in the morning
•Umbrella

Please do not bring
•A laptop
•MP3 players
•Television

American International College American International College and the K-12 Teacher's Alliance present the second annual Run for Education. This 5k race highlights the great importance of our PreK-12 educators in both our children's lives and in our communities.

A big part of your college experience takes part outside the classroom. Do you plan on participating in any varsity sports, like baseball, or are you leaning more towards intramural sports and clubs? I am a competitive step dancer!
