A few snippets from fifth-grade promotion day. We're gonna miss these crazy kids - they'd better come back and visit! Families, feel free to post your pics here!

Kids (and I daresay growups, too) had a blast at yesterday's field day! Big thanks to Sean from Eugene Springfield Fire for the chance to check out a fire truck (and hose down!).

Last day tomorrow! Fifth grade families, plan to come at 10 for promotion activities. We will be putting lost & found out before the end of the school day. Please bring any missing library books to school. See you tomorrow!

The last day of school, Thursday, June 11 is an early release day.

• Elementary students will be released at 12:30 p.m.
• Middle and high school students will be released at 1:15 p.m.
• Lunch will be served as usual.
• Bus riders will be dropped off at their bus stops 2 hours and 20 minutes earlier than their regular time.

*This does not apply to A3, The Academy of Arts & Academics, which has its own calendar.

Ms Dean is nothing if not a good sport! She allowed Ms Lefferts - who is also, sadly, leaving us to take a job at Maple Elementary - to turn her into a human sundae yesterday. We are going to miss these two fun-loving, positive, and caring humans who have made such an impact on our school, but we wish them all the best!

Big thanks to our fifth-grade Safety Patrol team for all their hard work through the school year to keep everyone safe! They got to enjoy some mini-golf last Tuesday to celebrate.

So, this also happened last week! We are always thrilled when the Springfield High grads come to visit - such a great tradition! Congratulations to all of you - Oh, the places you'll go!

Congratulations to all our competitors in Friday's Minute to Win It challenges! Students earned green Blue Jay Bucks all month for being "on task" for a chance to compete against teachers and classmates in five contests. Excellent way to end the week!
