That’s not something you see everyday…
As gears up to host free CPR training classes on campus in early September, Athletic Training Professor Brett Winston helps organize the supplies. These classes will require advance registration and are part of a campaign to support efforts by family and friends of Timmy Allen, a local middle school principal and coach, who suffered a major heart attack in early July and is now recovering.

On Oct. 22, 2018, City of Springfield, MA - Office of Communications honored professor of exercise science and sports studies, Sue Guyer with an official proclamation.

City Councilor Tim Allen presented the proclamation to Guyer and the College for Guyer's ongoing commitment to the community health of the people of the City of Springfield. Guyer's work, some of which took place when she was the Distinguished Springfield Professor of Humanics last year, will help create collaborative health initiatives with the City to improve the overall health of its citizens.
