🌍 Celebrating World Kindness Day 🌍

Today is —a perfect reminder of the impact kindness has in our personal lives and in the workplace. A culture of kindness fosters collaboration, resilience, and ultimately, success. In the words of Zig Ziglar, “You never know when a moment and a few sincere words can have an impact on a life.”

Kindness in the workplace doesn’t have to be grand gestures; it can be as simple as genuine praise, a thank-you note, or offering to help someone who seems overwhelmed. These small actions can create a ripple effect, making work more enjoyable and more meaningful. Here are a few ways we can foster kindness at work:
1) Share Positive Feedback: Recognize accomplishments and hard work openly and often. When people feel valued, they are more motivated to contribute meaningfully.
2) Practice Active Listening: Show empathy by listening to understand, not just to respond. Giving someone your full attention is a powerful way to show you care.

Today (Friday, November 8th), we celebrate National First-Generation College Celebration Day! 🎉

At American International College 🐝, we are proud to support and uplift our first-generation students, who make up more than 35% of our diverse and talented student body. This day is all about honoring their resilience, determination, and the incredible accomplishments they achieve as they navigate college, build their professional paths, and pursue their dreams.

First-generation students bring unique perspectives, experiences, and strengths to our community, which greatly enriches their academic journey and career readiness. Their success stories inspire us every day, reminding us of the transformative impact of hard work and the importance of career development support in helping them reach their goals.

Last night, we had the pleasure of attending the Talkin' Turkey networking event hosted by the wonderful team at ERC5 - East of the River Five Town Chamber of Commerce at the beautiful Twin Hills Country Club. This annual gathering was a fantastic opportunity to connect with new contacts and build relationships within our vibrant professional community.

We're grateful to ERC5 for the kind invitation and warm hospitality extended to our AIC students - Shai Cohen, Anderson Cuello Batista, Brie Bulley, Timothy Battle, and German Rossi. It was a joy to see them engage in such productive discussions and make valuable connections during the event. While we weren't able to meet everyone, the conversations we did have were truly meaningful and beneficial. We were also able to share with attendees the benefits of hiring AIC students as interns to help advance their business growth and innovation.

Networking events like this play a vital role in helping college students like ours expand their reach, discover new opportunities, and build meaningful partnerships. The ERC5 team put together an evening that was both enjoyable and productive - a perfect balance of casual mingling and targeted relationship-building.
