Join us on Saturday night, 9/12/26, in downtown Springfield for Springfield's The Block Party from 4pm-10pm. We’ll be handing out rocks and shark teeth, cracking geodes, and selling fill-a-bags and tote bags to raise money for our scholarship fund. It’s going to be a fun time!

Mark your calendars! We are 64 days out till our annual rock and gem show.

Come enjoy some fall fun out the Springfield Thunderegg 68th Rock and Gem show. Our club members have been working hard on show preparations. We will have will have a sluice outside thanks to Neukomm Rock and Gem. We also have a great Kids Games room. Interested in learning about fluorescent minerals? Stop on by for the Black Light room for a small lecture on learning on what causes the minerals to glow. Support local vendors and artisans. Last year we had up to 30 vendors. Our Rough Rock room is a rockhound’s dream. With materials collected all over Oregon it is perfect for the garden, collection, or for working material. Our Silent Auction has had some great donations so far. We have a wizard in the kitchen, who will have fresh made cookie along with other snacks if you get hungry during the show. We have Fill-a-bags that are perfect for gifts to love ones for only $5. Proceeds from our Silent Auction, Kids Games, Rough Rock room, Kitchen, and donations go towards our Scholarship Fund. We offer up to $1000’s to local college students and high school students pursuing training in Geology or Earth Sciences. This year we were able to award 2 scholarships to U of O students and 1 to a Thurston high school scholarship

We will be doing a table at this years Geofest at 5 Elements in Eugene! Our volunteers will be helping with the Fossil Digs, a Gold Panning game, Fill-a-bags of tumbled rock, Children’s Games, and you can get a tote bag!
