The purpose of this organization as a community group shall be:

-To promote and maintain high standards for the care and education of young children;

-To promote the citizens of the region to take action which promotes the welfare of young children and their families;

-To encourage continuing study of the needs of young children and their families, interpretation of such findings and acceptance

of these by such individuals and groups;

-To cooperate with other organizations and disciplines for the improvement of services to young children and their families in the region, the state, the nation and the world;

-To keep abreast of and participate in the development of research and trends in early childhood education, family dynamics, and related fields;

-To promote opportunities for students to learn about early care and education initiatives, programs, and community efforts.
