Willow Oak Goes to the Opera!!!! 21 teens and adults attended Nashville Opera's STUNNING production of Puccini's TOSCA Saturday! We absolutely LOVED this performance! Beautiful singing, wonderful acting, and gorgeous sets of the 3 buildings in Rome built in the 1500's. And the Nashville Opera Orchestra played beautifully! Metropolitan Opera singer Brittany Olivia Logan sang her big aria while kneeling!!! It was an unforgettable night. We've been taking groups to the opera since Willow Oak was founded in 2007. Thank you to our benefactor who paid for 6 people to have this incredible experience.

We had the most BEAUTIFUL evening last Friday at Bernard Farms Custom Cuts and Market Dirt to Dinner event, catered by Public House!

The food was incredible, the live music was unforgettable, and the company was even better. But what made the evening especially meaningful was the generosity behind it all.

Thanks to Chef Jess and Julie Bernard, every dollar from drink sales was donated to Willow Oak Center for Arts and Learning, raising more than $1,300 to support the arts right here in Robertson County!

We're so incredibly grateful to Chef Jess, Julie, and everyone who came out, enjoyed the evening, and helped make this possible. It means so much to have people in our community who believe in what we’re building at Willow Oak and are willing to help us make it happen.

Please support these wonderful businesses who go out of their way to give back to their community!

Want to try something new...or actually ancient? Try flint knapping, something most of us call arrowhead making. We're excited to have Richard Kessinger giving a demonstration and lecture at Art Talk this Thursday, Sept 24, 10 am - noon at Willow Oak. Then he'll teach a workshop for those of you wanting to learn how to do it, Saturday, October 3, 9 am - noon.
It's fascinating to learn about something that existed before humankind did.
