No medals, but we had a blast at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference!

Congratulations to Liam for earning the highest score in the Vermont Arts Portfolio assessment for Photography! ...and to Mary Margaret for the 2nd highest score! Morgan grabbed the 6th highest and our online student Addie was in 11th. All AVP Photography students earned the Vermont Arts Portfolio IRC.

Also congratulations to Kyle for earning the Vermont Arts Portfolio for Sound Production (4th highest score) — and Illianna for earning the Graphic Design & Illustration credential.

This is the first time a student from AVP has submitted a portfolio for Illustration! Illianna has undoubtedly spent more computer hours than any other student in AVP. She comes to class each day and immediately logs into her drawing app and gets to work.

All of her illustrations are finger-drawn on a tablet. There's no pre-made shapes or assets here!

Here's another stunning portfolio submitted for review today by Mary Margaret. She poured her soul into these images spending hours in the studio and int he field to get the perfect look and feel. While Photoshop was used to colorize the eye, the portrait was actually an in-camera multiple exposure shot!
