Planning, Design and Construction has an opening for an Assistant Project Manager.

The Assistant Project Manager assists other departmental staff in the development and ex*****on of projects and manages smaller or less complex projects. The Assistant Project Manager assists with the development of building programs and in the development of presentations, including creating graphics and architectural renderings. The Assistant Project Manager assists in creating contract documents, including drawings and specifications for competitive bidding. The Assistant Project Manager assists in the management of ongoing construction. The Assistant Project Manager assists in the maintenance of standards by working with others in the department to develop standard details and specifications that may be incorporated into projects. The Assistant Project Manager researches and compiles building data for use by the University, stays current with the software used in the department, and assists in the development of the campus master plan.

📍Kemper Hall Addition

The block install at the new stairwell has commenced, and structural steel stairs were installed this week. Interior wall framing and install of green girt and mineral wool on the exterior continues. Electrical wiring, rough-ins, cable trays, and camera work are progressing. Fire suppression piping installs continue. Mechanical rough-ins continue, and roof drain work is completing. Painting continues on the steel structure in the Training Lab, and dryfall painting has started. Transformer is ready to ship, awaiting more information on delivery. Storefront glazing work continues. Roofing system work is complete, except for at the stairwell where block work is being redone.

📍Autism Student Support Center, West Plains Campus

The interior wall framing is complete, and drywall installation has begun. The exterior wall sheathing installation and the air/vapor barrier installation is now complete. The installation of exterior brick cladding will continue for several weeks and is near 65% complete. The corrected exterior glazing was installed last week. Mechanical rough-in and duct installation continues and is approximately 90% complete.

📍Agricultural Innovation Hub, Darr Agricultural Center

Work is progressing on the interior building liner panel installation. Drywall installation continues, and finishing has begun. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-in work continues. Site sub-grading is nearing completion, and preparation for site concrete has begun. Fence installation at the covered storage area is nearly complete, and translucent panels on the north end are being installed this week.

The Associate Director – Architect, Planning, Design and Construction assists the University Architect in the planning and ex*****on of capital projects and physical improvements undertaken by the University. The Associate Director – Architect, Planning, Design and Construction supports the integration of sustainable design, respect for the environment, and the conservation of resources in every project the University undertakes. The Associate Director –Architect, Planning, Design and Construction provides supervision of other professional staff while providing management of assigned projects within the University system, including coordinating all activities from programming and concept through occupant move-in, with the primary focus on the application of architectural knowledge as it applies to the design of commercial and institutional buildings. The Associate Director – Architect, Planning, Design and Construction is a delegate to the Board of Governors and other campus entities when the University Architect is unavailable.

📍Blunt Hall Renovation and Addition

The penthouse siding continues. Mechanical & electrical work continues on all levels. Interior metal stud framing continues on level four and level five. Gypsum board installation continues on level one and level two. Restroom wall tile continues. Exterior metal stud framing and sheathing is complete. Curtain wall installation commences next week. Glazing installation on the north side continues. Grading has commenced. The Plaster Stadium sidewalk will remain closed until August 9. Roofing at the penthouse is near completion, and roofing at the main roof is scheduled to commence next week. The first phase demolition of the existing building continues on the south side of the second and third floors.

📍Kemper Hall Addition

Masonry installation continues with specialty Trendstone block at the Training Lab and the Training Lab Storage area. Trendstone block installation will begin at the new north stairs. Exterior wall metal framing and sheathing continues. Electrical work continues in the equipment room, raceway installs in the concrete masonry unit and basement, and the KVA upgrade. Second level concrete pours are scheduled to be complete this week.

📍Autism Student Support Center, West Plains Campus

The exterior wall sheathing installation is complete, and waterproofing will be installed next ahead of the masonry. The interior wall framing is near completion and electrical rough-in has commenced. The framing for glazing is being installed and the windows will be installed next week. Mechanical rough-in and duct work will commence in the next few weeks.
