A Wonderful Start to the School Year! đź’™

We are so thankful for a wonderful first few weeks at Springfield Lutheran High School! It has been such a joy to see our students back on campus—learning, growing, building friendships, getting involved, and growing together as a school community.

As we continue into the school year, we ask our SLHS community to please keep our students, families, faculty, and staff in your prayers. Pray for a year filled with growth, joy, wisdom, strong relationships, and opportunities to grow deeper in our faith and remain rooted in Christ.

We are so grateful for each student and family who is part of SLHS and for the faculty and staff who pour into our students each day. We can’t wait to see all that God has in store for this school year!

We’re back with a few more photos from such a fun and memorable day at the SLHS Golf Tournament! ⛳ The rain couldn’t stop us from enjoying a wonderful day of fellowship, laughter, and support for Springfield Lutheran High School. 🙌

We are so thankful to our incredible SLHS community, golfers, sponsors, volunteers, students, and families who helped make the day such a success. Your support of SLHS and Christ-centered education means so much to us!

What a Day! 💙⛳

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make today’s SLHS Golf Tournament such a success!

We are incredibly grateful to all of the teams who came out to play, our generous sponsors, Pastor Hagerman and Caleb Staehr for kicking the day off, our amazing SLHS faculty and students, and Horton Smith Golf Course for hosting us.

We braved the weather, enjoyed a great day of golf and fellowship, and were reminded once again of just how blessed we are by the support of our SLHS community. Your generosity and encouragement help make Christ-centered education possible for our students.

Thunder Thrift is officially open—and we couldn't let this moment pass without recognizing the many people who helped make it possible! ⚡💙

For months, volunteers, staff, Board members, families, donors, and supporters have worked to bring the vision to life.

From the initial research and planning, to professionals volunteering their expertise and donors generously providing startup support, to loading fixtures into trailers, setting up racks and shelves, sorting and organizing merchandise, training volunteers, hanging signs, preparing for preview nights, and tackling countless details along the way—so many people have played a part every step of the way.

To everyone who has given your time, talents, resources, prayers, and encouragement: thank you. And to the volunteers who continue to serve in the store each week, welcoming shoppers, receiving donations, organizing merchandise, and so much more—your continued support is vital to Thunder Thrift. We are incredibly grateful for each of you!

And now, after months of preparation, we've had the joy of welcoming our community through the doors!

We praise God for His provision and for the many people He has brought together along the way. We can't wait to see how He continues to use Thunder Thrift to serve our community and support Christ-centered Lutheran education at Springfield Lutheran High School! ⚡

🌱 ROOTED IN CHRIST 🌱

This year, Lutheran schools across the country are focusing on the theme “Rooted in Christ,” inviting students and families into a yearlong worship journey centered on Colossians 2:6–7:

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness”

What a beautiful reminder as we begin a new school year—to grow deeper roots in Christ, build our lives on Him, and live with hearts full of thanksgiving.
