The Administrative-Technical Pre-conference Hearing regarding the certifification petition was held today at the MLRC. The NCEU reiterated and raised objections/challenges to the petiiton that was filed by Nage based on several factors: 1. Proper make-up of the bargaining unit with the inclusion/exclusion of positions, 2. A ULP that was filed by the NCEU based on the unsavory/intimidating methods used by certain departmental employees on obtaining the decert cards at the workplace, and 3. Interference by the employer - Blocking charges. Additionally, the NCEU is investigating allegations to determine if further actions are neccessary based on multiple conversations with current bargining unit members questioning the validity of the decert cards filed. The MLRC scheduled a follow-up conference call with the parties for 3-6-12 @ 10am. Further updates to follow.
