The Illinois State Academy of Sciences - ISAS Annual Meeting keynote address, "Selenium in the Environment and Human Health", was given by Dr. Zhi-Qing Lin, Distinguisged Research Professor from the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville SIUE College of Arts and Sciences Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences. Dr. Lin is an environmental ecologist with special research interest in phytoremediation, a biotechnical process that utilizes plants for the cleanup of trace element contamination.
