Better World Week is an annual, national event showcasing student learning that contributes to a better world. Students work in partnership with each other and their local communities on this day to engage in and celebrate meaningful student work that positively impacts the world around them. Mayor Domenic J. Sarno is proud to hear about former intern Damon Penna, who is currently at the Military Academy at WestPoint.

Mayor Sarno states, “I ran into my former intern Damon Penna’s grandfather and was thrilled to hear about all the success he has had at WestPoint. Damon is a great young man and has a great family. Damon interned in my office, and was an intern at Congressman Neal’s office as well. Damon served as the Valedictorian at Springfield’s Renaissance High School, and is currently in the top 5% of his class at WestPoint, while holding leadership positions. We’re all very proud of him. Good Health and Godspeed to him.”
