MSU Religious Studies For friends, alumni, current and future students, faculty/staff and anyone interested in Religious Studies at Missouri State University

Missouri State possesses the oldest and largest religious studies program in a state university in Missouri. In our program, you will have access to one of the largest religious studies faculties in the Midwest. Our professors have an impressive range and depth of knowledge in fields including biblical studies, Christianity and Judaism, South Asian religions, and religion, self and society. In MSU

's Religious Studies program, you will have the opportunity to explore religion, gain a greater understanding of it and prepare yourself to work among people of all faiths. The analytical and writing skills you gain will benefit you in a variety of careers, as well as in pursuit of further education.

Exciting changes are taking place at MSU this summer! Religious Studies is combining with World Languages and Cultures to form a new "Department of Languages, Cultures, and Religions" in the new Reynolds College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities. We'll lead the way together in teaching cultural competence to students.

This change will facilitate greater collaboration between Religious Studies, Languages, Classics, and Global Studies. All of our faculty, staff, and programs will remain unchanged within this broader unit. Stay tuned for more updates and announcements in the months to come 😀
