MAJOR Volunteer Opportunity in Central's backyard! Join in and help clean up Silver Springs Park!

Please join us Saturday, May 23rd for a cleanup at Silver Spring Park.

This event will be part of Neat Neighborhoods - a contest in SGF to show community pride. We will pick up trash and debris in Silver Springs Park and Jordan Creek. Midtown is partnering with the Greene County Park Board, The Greater Ozarks Audubon Society, Ozarks Greenways, City of Springfield Urban Forestry program, NAACP Youth, Solid Rock Youth, and the International Institute for this event.

This is a family friendly activity, so please invite neighbors and bring your kids. Youth will learn about the trees along Jordan Creek and help with tree maintenance. The Greater Ozarks Audubon Society will also present programming on local birds.

Snacks and drinks will be provided by Solid Rock Church. While gloves, bug spray, tools, and bags will be on hand, you are always welcome to bring your own as well.

CHS represented well at the Math League U.S. National Championship on Saturday! We took a team of 14 students and finished in 6th place in overall sweepstakes!

We placed 2nd in the Team Round (team of Lanie Deng, Bijayesh Prandhan, Jathin Bande, Todd Gao, Brandon Aparicio, and RJ VanAntwerp) and 3rd in the Relay Round (team of Lanie Deng, Bijayesh Prandhan, and Jathin Bande). Lanie Deng also came in 1st place out of all 10th graders and was the Countdown Round Champion.

All 14 team members worked hard this year to qualify for this competition and deserve major kudos!

Students- just a reminder about the EOC Party this Friday @ Harrison Stadium:
🐾 Bring money for Food Trucks
🐾 Dress comfortably and wear sunscreen
🐾 Get your sticker to attend during lunch.
🐾 FREE Popcorn and Popsicles will be available
🐾 Inflatables, Video Game Truck, and Field Games

Parents can sign up too! This is a great way to earn money to pay off IB fees, spring sport fees, school trips, athletic/academic camps, etc!
