Emeritus Professor Kevin McAllister, Gary Nevolis ‘13, and Emeritus Professor Bob Accorsi connected today in Jacksonville before the start of the long trek south to Key West. Professor Rachel Keyworth brought 14 students from the Department of Sport Management and Recreation to the Massachusetts Recreation and Parks Association Annual Conference today at the MassMutual Center. Students served as room ambassadors, introduced presenters, networked with professionals, connected to alumni, and learned a great deal about the professional opportunities throughout parks and recreation.

The Department of Sport Management and Recreation is excited about to host the annual Weckwerth Lecture this Thursday at 7:00 in the Judd Presentation Room. The Department continues to champion conversations around mental health in sport, and this year’s lecture will focus on how sport organizations can create systems for positive competitive cultures.
