Because you guys are all ⭐ROCK STARS⭐, we were able to gift each WINGS & Scholars member of faculty and staff $25 in gift cards, plus a boxed lunch from QDoba!!!!!
Thank you everyone for your amazing generosity! We have a good start to our gift card collection for our teachers. We haven't quite hit our goal (at least one per teacher), and we know life is BUSY, so we'll be your personal shopper! Just click our PayPal link below and donate whatever amount you'd like (every $1 helps!). Then our fantastic VP and Secretary will journey out this weekend and fill their baskets with gift cards for our teachers. Scholars and WINGS teachers will be presented with their gift cards on Monday, along with boxed lunches from QDoba provided by PAGE.
🏅🥇🏅Last call for gift cards! PAGE will be picking up from Phelps this Friday to arrange and present to Scholars and WINGS teachers on the 24th.
It’s Teacher Appreciation time of year once again! This has been a unique year and no one knows it better than our WINGS and Scholars teachers. They have worked so hard all year to make sure our kids have gotten the best possible experience, along with adjusting curriculum on the fly multiple times to meet the changing needs of our community during this pandemic. Now it’s our turn, as parents, to show how much we appreciate our teachers and all they do! We are collecting gift cards from our favorite places to give to our amazing, hard working, teachers. Any amount, $5, $10, $15, or even $20 will be greatly appreciated. Gift cards can be dropped off in the Phelps Office starting Monday, April 26th through Friday, May 14th (office closes at 3:30).
Thank you so much for your consideration and donation!

We need help! PAGE (Parents and Advocates of Gifted Education) has been functioning with a shoestring of volunteers this past year, but it’s time to start thinking about next year. We currently need:
President – run meetings and coordinate efforts from all committees
Vice-President – fill in for President as needed and assist on committees
Secretary – take notes at meetings and present
Treasurer – keep track of budget and spending.
We also need:
Teacher Appreciation Committee – we show our teachers love all year with various meals, gifts
Fundraising Committee – most of our fundraisers are laid out, need coordinating and person to assist
Communication Committee – update Facebook, Twitter, etc, send emails as needed to members
Ice Cream Social Committee – plan and execute Ice Cream Social event in August
Enrichment Committee – plan possible speakers and enrichment opportunities for Parents
We can find a place for you. Please think about volunteering some of your time. PAGE meets once a month, currently via ZOOM. PAGE hopes we will be able to meet in-person again in August, with a zoom option. We typically meet over lunch for an hour on the second Friday of the month. Contact Melanie Orr, Vice President, with questions and offers at [email protected] or 417-459-9789.
