The Springfield Branch NAACP Illinois and SIU School of Medicine will host Minds in Motion on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 1-3:30pm at the NAACP Office - 801 S 11th Street, Springfield, IL.

The theme of Minds in Motion is Thanksgiving. Minds in Motion is a great opportunity for Senior to connect with other Senior and share their experiences & get the assistance needed!

I'm asking every Branch to support me President Teresa Haley for the National Board of Directors representing Region III. Additionally, please circulate the flyer within your sphere of influence.

Being on the National Board will help strengthen our chances with the 1908 Race Riot National Monument in Springfield, IL.

The 1908 Race Riot led to the start of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

Contact your legislators and ask them to let this bill sunset! There will be those who parade around our Black & Brown students to make it appear that they really care about our students.

The Illinois State Conference NAACP endorses the sunsetting of the “Invest in Kids" voucher program because of the mass discrimination against certain groups of students and it decreases funding available to public schools across the State.

Tell City Council it’s unacceptable to put a Storage Garage behind the 1908 Race Riot National Monument! This would block the view of Eastside residents from enjoying the monument and further redlining US! CWLP can put the equipment and maintenance storage center somewhere else!

Proposed CWLP storage facility draws ire of group for its proximity to 1908 race riot site City Water, Light and Power is considering constructing an equipment and maintenance storage center in the area of the Madison and 11th Street.
