Drury University Department of Music

The Department has attracted an international student body and faculty whose impact on the cultural life of Drury and Springfield is apparent.

The Department of Music offers the following degrees: Bachelor of Music Therapy, Bachelor of Music Education, and Bachelor of Arts with studies in all performance instruments, voice, and composition. Students pursuing these degrees are provided with the opportunity to learn and grow while gaining the necessary knowledge and skills to become successful musicians, therapists, teachers and performers

Congratulations, Lauren! So proud of you! 🎶🎶🎶

Sophomore Lauren Coleman has been named a Delta Scholars Award finalist — one of Drury’s second finalists since 2024.

A Music Therapy major, student leader and student-athlete, Lauren will join a multi-state cohort this summer focused on leadership, research and public service across the Mississippi Delta, with research presentations to follow in Boston.

We’re proud to see her passion for service and leadership recognized — and can’t wait to see what’s next! 🐾
