A friendly reminder that the last chance to apply for the IPPA U.S. Midwest National Round In-Person Competition is tonight, February 7th, 11:59pm, CST. The In-person competition will take place in Springfield, MO on February 24th, 2024.

In the in-person U.S. Midwest Region National Round:
The Gold medal winner of the U.S. Midwest Region National Round, Professional Artist Category A (ages 18-32) will be invited to give a solo recital at Missouri State University in the 2024-25 academic year.
Qualified finalists from in-person Midwest region will be invited to perform in the 2024 Fall IPPA Honor Recital in Kansas City.
In-person National Round Gold, Silver and Bronze prizewinners will receive crystal medals.
Everyone who participates will get detailed comments from prestigious piano professionals.
The event is open to the public, so all participants will gain valuable experience playing in front of a live audience.

The last day to register for the preliminary round of the U.S. Midwest Region of the IPPA Conero International Piano Competition! Apply by February 1 to have an opportunity to advance to the U.S. Midwest Region National Round at Missouri State University on February 24 in Springfield, Missouri.

In the U.S. Midwest Region National round, Gold, Silver, Bronze Medals and Honorable Mentions are given in each category. The Gold and Silver Medal award winners advance to the International Final Round on July-6-7 at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.

The IPPA Conero International Piano Competition is open to students in the following categories:

Young Artist Category:
A (Ages 16-17)
B (Ages 14-15)
C (Ages 12-13)
D (Ages 10-11)
E (Ages 8-9)
F (Ages 6-7)

Professional Artist Category:
A (Ages 18-32)
B (Ages 14-17)
C (Ages 10-13)
*The winner of the Professional Artist Category A (ages 18-32) of the U.S. Midwest Region will be invited to give a solo recital at Missouri State University in the 2024-25 academic year!!

Chamber Music Category:

Congratulations to Dr. Chris Madden on his presentation at the MTNA National Conference in Reno entitled "Top Ten Tips For Getting Published." Chris, who also recently became President-Elect for Missouri, had a book-signing for two recent publications entitled "Technique Through Repertoire" with colleague Dr. Jani Ann Parsons. Congratulations, Chris!
