🦅Little History🦅 ================================
🥋The son of Master Carlos Gracie and raised by Master Helio Gracie, Rolls Gracie was extremely talented in every sport he participated. He was open-minded to the evolution of the gentle art of Jiujitsu. He trained and competed in other martial arts and sports such as Sambo and wrestling and was responsible for integrating aspects and techniques from what he learned into Jiujitsu.
Rolls was considered the best Gracie fighter of his time. He died in a tragic hang gliding accident on June 6, 1982, just 31 years old. He had promoted only five students to black belt at the time of his untimely death. Among those was our own Master Romero Jacaré Cavalcanti.

Jacare’s first student to be promoted to black belt was Fabio Gurgel. In 1993, Jacaré, Fabio Gurgel and Alexandre Paiva founded the Alliance jiu-jitsu team.

Since then, the team consolidates each year, creating one of the most competitive JiuJitsu teams in the World. In 1997, Alliance began its worldwide expansion with the opening of the first international branch in Finland, followed by the New York branch in 1998. Alliance Greenville was one of the first affiliates under Jacaré in the United States in 2003. Today we have approximately 300 branches around the world.
The Alliance team is a 12x world champion in the men's, 10x women's and 4x youth categories, showing strength, dedication and team unity.🌎
