Give your child a place to create, experiment, and let their imagination take the lead this fall!

Art Exploration classes at The Music Factory are designed for young artists ages 3½ to 9. Students will explore a variety of art materials, techniques, colors, textures, and creative projects while developing their own ideas and artistic confidence.

At this age, art is about so much more than making something to take home. Children learn to make choices, solve problems, try new things, develop fine motor skills, and discover just how much they can create when they're given the tools and encouragement to explore.

Projects are age-appropriate and designed to be fun and engaging for both preschool and elementary-age artists. No previous art experience is needed - just bring your creativity and be ready to make some art!

Preschoolers are ready to do so much with music! Our Precocious Preschoolers class gives children ages 3.5–5 a joyful, hands-on way to sing, move, listen, play instruments, and explore the musical world around them.

Through age-appropriate music and movement activities, children develop:

· A strong sense of rhythm and pitch
· Listening and musical awareness
· Language and communication skills
· Coordination, balance, and body awareness
· Creativity and confidence
· Social skills and the ability to make music with others

Toddlers are natural musicians! Our Musikgarten classes give young children ages 1.5 through 3.5 a joyful place to sing, move, dance, play instruments, and explore music together with a grown-up.

Through music and movement, children develop important early skills including:

· A growing love of music

Our Music Makers classes give children the skills they need to become confident, capable young musicians, while making music a joyful part of everyday life!

MUSIC MAKERS AT HOME
Ages 4.5–6

Music Makers at Home introduces young children to the building blocks of musical literacy through singing, movement, rhythm, listening, and hands-on musical experiences with a variety of instruments.

The curriculum has a strong nature-based focus, connecting music with the natural world and encouraging children to listen, observe, explore, and create.

MUSIC MAKERS AROUND THE WORLD
Ages 6–8

Music Makers Around the World continues the development of musical literacy while taking children on a musical journey around the globe.

Students explore rhythm, pitch, notation, singing, movement, and musicianship while discovering music and cultural traditions from different parts of the world. The curriculum combines nature-based learning with cultural studies, giving children a broader understanding of how music connects people and communities.

Both classes help children develop:

• True musical literacy, not simply memorizing songs or following instructions
• A strong foundation in rhythm and pitch
• Listening and musical comprehension skills
• Confidence in singing and making music
• Preparation for future piano, band, orchestra, and other instrumental study
• A deeper understanding of music as a creative and cultural experience

Baby’s First Music Class!

From the very beginning, babies are ready to experience music. Our Musikgarten Bouncing Babies class is designed for children from birth through 16 months, accompanied by a grown-up.

Each class is filled with singing, rocking, dancing, bouncing, and exploring instruments together. These shared musical experiences foster a strong bond between babies and their grown-ups while nurturing a lifelong love of music.

Along the way, babies are developing so much more than musical skills. Music and movement help support balance and coordination, language development, a sense of rhythm and pitch, and early social skills.

We meet babies where they are and create a joyful environment where grown-ups and babies can explore, connect, and make music together!

Registration is open for fall music classes!

From babies discovering music for the first time to high school students developing their skills, there’s a place for every age at The Music Factory!

Our fall programs include:

• Musikgarten music and movement classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers
• Elementary music classes
• Group piano classes
• Art Exploration
• Private lessons for children, teens, and adults studying piano, harp, ukulele, voice, and band instruments

Our classes are designed to help students develop musical skills while building creativity, confidence, coordination, listening skills, and a lifelong love of music.

Whether your child is tapping a drum for the first time, singing and moving in a Musikgarten class, learning to play piano with their peers, or developing their skills on an instrument, we have a musical opportunity for them this fall.

We’re inviting families with children ages 6–8 to learn more about our group piano class at The Music Factory!

Our group piano class is different from traditional private lessons. A grown-up attends each class with the student, creating an opportunity for family learning, practice, and musical discovery together.

Students don’t just learn which keys to press. They learn to:

• Play piano by ear and develop a strong sense of musicality
• Read and understand music
• Compose and create their own music
• Play with other students in ensembles
• Develop listening, rhythm, and collaboration skills
• Build confidence by making music together

Group learning gives young musicians something private lessons can’t always provide: the experience of making music with others. Students learn from their teacher, from each other, and through playing together, while families become an active part of the musical learning process.
