Today Accotink Academy Preschool enjoyed a very special visit from our local firefighters from the West Springfield Fire Station. They talked with students about staying safe at home, what to do in an emergency, and how they help keep our community protected.
Our students loved watching a firefighter put on their full fire‑safety gear and getting an up‑close look at the equipment they use. The highlight, of course, was the tour of the firetruck! We are so grateful for the time they spent with us today, and for everything they do year‑round to make our community stronger and safer.
Thank you to our local heroes from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.
