We are excited to bring the Engineering for Kids program to children all over Southeastern Fairfax County and Alexandria.

Engineering For Kids brings science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), to kids ages 4 to 14 in a fun and challenging way through classes, camps, clubs, and parties. We are proud to inspire children to build on their natural curiosity by teaching engineering concepts through hands-on learning. Engineering is, after all, one of the fastest growing industries in the world!

Part time Assistant Teaching Position - Engineering and Robotics Classes (Fairfax County)

Would you like a fun job teaching engineering and robotics to elementary school children? Engineering for Kids is hiring Assistant Teachers for our enrichment programs for the 2016-2017 school year. Especially in the Alexandria and Springfield areas.

We are offering STEM programs throughout Northern Virginia, in the following counties and cities: Fairfax, Alexandria, Falls Church, Vienna, Lorton, McLean, Annandale and Springfield.

About Us:

Engineering For Kids brings science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), to

kids ages 4 to 14 in a fun and challenging way through classes, camps, clubs, and

parties. We are proud to inspire children to build on their natural curiosity by teaching

engineering concepts through hands-on learning. Engineering is, after all, one of the

fastest growing industries in the world! We provide comprehensive training, a detailed

curriculum, and all the equipment used to teach a class. This job has flexible hours and

great pay.

Assistant Teacher responsibilities:

- Assist teacher and work with school age children for 1 to 1.5 hour classes (generally between the hours of 8-9 AM and 3:00-5:00pm) - Monday-Friday afternoons (2-5 hours a week).

- Assist teacher with hands on help

- Be familiar with each weekly lesson (Training for curriculum will be provided)

- Responsible set up and clean up of supplies

What requirements and qualifications do we look for in our teachers ?

- Knowledge of STEM related fields and an enthusiasm to learn more

- Entertaining and energetic person who works well with children

- Availability at before and after-school times.

- Experience working in a classroom teaching

This job pays a good rate per class, but the hours are part-time. Our instructors go to

a different school each day of the week, so some transportation time is also required.
