Playful Steps Child Care is currently hiring!! We are looking to hire someone to facilitate our E-Learning program for school-age children. Work hours will be M-F 35-40 hours per week. Covid—19 update. Good evening Playful Steps Child Care Parents: This is an update as to the following emergency ruling for daycares: The Governor has mandated ALL daycare centers and home daycare to close until farther notice. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. I have forward you the notice that I received today from IDCFS.

To All Playful Steps Parents:

I will be adding a few extra precautions to our health and safety policies that go into effect immediately. These policies will stay in effect until we are mandated to close, choose to voluntarily close with no notice, or if the virus gets worse. These policies are provided to keep my family safe as well as yours.

1. During pick up and drop off, we ask that you call first when you are 5 minutes away from the program. We will come outside and es**rt your child/children into the program. No parents will be permitted into the program until this ban is lifted for all public schools. You will need to wait until I can make sure your child's hand have been washed and their temperature has been taken. I suggest that you give yourself extra time during drop off.

2. If you do not have to work or if you have alternative arrangements for child care please keep your child home.

3. Children must stay home if they have the following symptoms: fever of/or over 100 degrees, yellow or green drainage from the nose or eyes, mild to severe coughing, vomiting, and/or diarrhea. Please note: You cannot medicate your child before drop off to mask a fever or other symptoms. When a child comes into our program ill or contagious, it puts everyone at risk.
4. Please wash and sanitize coats and car seats to prevent the spread of any communicable disease. Please leave all book bags and diaper bags at home.

Lastly, please make sure that all emergency contacts and your most recent phone number is updated in case of an emergency. Following these policies and procedures will help the program to remain open unless otherwise mandated by the State of Illinois.
