We are still feeling all the feels from our performance at the 88th Missouri Music Education Association In-Service Workshop and Conference. The audience conducting and singing with us made it even more special. Congratulations to all of our orchestra members who dedicated their time, talent, and expression to make this performance an unforgettable one for years to come.

Our partners Burrell Behavioral Health and MSU's Project Access has been wonderful helping us reach a wider audience by providing their volunteer support and donation of fidget toys. We are going to have so much fun together this coming Sunday!

You are invited to a concert where everyone belongs!

Join the Missouri State University Symphony Orchestra for a sensory-friendly performance on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 3:30 PM at Juanita K. Hammons Hall.

Here’s what you can expect:

🎶 A sensory room with Burrell Autism Center staff, calming space, and fidget tools designed for comfort and focus.

🎶 Flexible seating options, with room to move around or sit in quieter areas.

🎶 Supportive ushers and volunteers available to guide, answer questions, and offer breaks when needed.

We’re grateful to Missouri State University for partnering with us to make this concert more accessible, and we hope it inspires other venues to create sensory-friendly options for all!

We are showing off the many talents of our students: Adonis Garcia, Chih-Yun Hung, Kadesh Clouden, and Santiago Posada Marin.
Living composer Dr. Ingrid Stölzel will also be there as we perform her piece: City Beautiful, communicating the belief in the "shaping influence of beauty" on society with her music.
