Final standings are out and we finished the season ranked 12th in School of the Year. Our Fishing Panthers had a great season!

Latest standings are out for School of the Year. There is one more Bassmaster event left that we are not participating in. Looks like we will finish the season ranked 12th in the nation, could possibly drop to 13th depending on Auburn finish. All in all a great season! The caliber of teams competing in collegiate bass fishing is second to none. We are pleased to consistently finish near the top 10 nationally each year with the challenges we face. Great job Panthers! Looking forward to next season which starts again in August.

Conditions changed and we didn’t catch them quite as good on day 2 of the ACA Collegiate National Championship on Pickwick but we still had a solid finish in the 218 boat field. Ethan and Brody Thoele caught 34.42 lbs for 2 days to finish in 36th place. Caleb Coleman/Cade Lipham weighed in 32.39 lbs for 54th and Jacob Longlois/Seth Prather finished 56th with 32.05 lbs. We had a great season and should finish in the top 15 in School of the Year when results are released in a couple of weeks. Great job Panthers!

Day 2 takeoff ACA National Championship. Go Panthers!

Good day for the Panthers at the ACA Collegiate National Championship on Pickwick Lake. Ethan and Brody Thoele lead the way with 20.97 lbs and sit in 16th place in the 200 plus boat field. Jacob Longlois/Seth Prather brought 16.89 lbs to the scale and are in 56th place. Caleb Coleman and Cade Lipham bagged 16.84 lbs and are in 58th place. The team of Mason Laurin/ Sam Sutter caught 15.26 lbs (without a trolling motor) and are in 75th place and Noah Wells/Curt Ferguson caught 4.97 lbs for 171. We need a better day tomorrow to move up a few spots in the rankings. Let’s go Panthers!

Congratulations to the 11 Panther anglers that made the dean’s list this semester, with 6 making a 4.0 GPA! Our team cumulative GPA was 3.29, which shows how much dedication these guys have in keeping up with their studies with all the class time we miss. Very proud of this team!

Registration is complete for the ACA Collegiate National Championship on Pickwick Lake. Good luck to the 5 Panther teams that qualified. Practice has been tough but we hope to get on some quality fish tomorrow. Let’s go Panthers!
