This morning, LeadSGF Executive Director Carrie Richardson and Ben Vickers with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce visited the Rotary Club of Springfield North to share the story behind GEARS, a custom program in partnership with the Chamber. Together, they walked through how the program came to be through the Manufacturing Leadership Council and the real impact it's making on manufacturing industry leaders across our region.

A Signature Class 4 graduate and President of SMC Packaging Group, Mark has spent nearly five decades building not just a successful organization, but successful people. Mark has poured that same commitment into Springfield through countless community initiatives, organizations, and causes that have helped shape our region’s future. His fingerprints are on so much of what makes this community great, including helping lay the groundwork for GEARS, a custom program in collaboration with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

We honored his legacy last night at One Big Class Reunion, and last week when we surprised him surrounded by family, friends, and colleagues who have witnessed his impact firsthand.
