This week, Hope Lutheran delivered 120 backpacks they had filled with school supplies for the start of the school year! Because of their kindness, 120 of our students will be starting the school year equipped and ready to learn.

Summer break means Summer Reading at the Springfield Public Library! This year's theme is "Plant a Seed, Read!"

All summer long, we'll be sharing the our SPS school Library Managers' summer reading picks for kids and teens to enjoy. Maybe you'll find a new family favorite among them!

Mr. Jon, Library Manager at Guy Lee Elementary recommends "Do Unto Otters: A Book About Manners" by Laurie Keller.

"I find to have the best success of teaching manners, rules, and social situations through books like Do Unto Otters. The book explores different situations that are relatable to elementary students in their everyday life and it provides good lessons to learn from." ~Mr. Jon

Big news for the Guy Lee family! 🏆✨

On Thursday evening, our very own Melissa Kruse was recognized by the City of Springfield as the 2025 Community Leader of the Year.

Melissa was selected for her tireless work in envisioning and coordinating the Guy Lee PTO's annual AANHPI Celebration, an event that has truly become a cornerstone of our community. She is a powerhouse for inclusion and connection, not just here at Guy Lee, but across all of Springfield.
