Protect Our Children, Inc. Aiding in the Defense of Abused Children

POC is working not only to promote awareness of child abuse, but also to encourage activism which results in positive changes in systems that are already in place and intended to protect our children, but that in many cases are failing to keep children safe. Our goals are to improve state agencies’ and court's handling of child abuse investigations and cases, to encourage more effective state and

federal legislation and to clarify and enforce existing legislation, to prevent child abuse and better protect abused children.

BREAKING: Tanner James Horner, the FedEx driver who brutally murdered 7-year-old Athena Strand, has been sentenced to death by lethal injection.

Athena was abducted while playing outside her home in Texas in December 2022. Horner kidnapped her, sexually assaulted her, and killed her.

Today, a jury delivered the ultimate punishment for this monster.

Rest in peace, sweet Athena.
