WCHS Class of 2027, it’s almost time to kick off your senior year! 🎓☀️

We’re getting ready for Senior Sunrise, and the Washington County Board of Education will once again be providing breakfast for our seniors!

To help us plan for the event and make sure we have enough food for everyone, please complete the Senior Sunrise survey and let us know if you plan to attend.

Thank you for your interest in the Virtual School program.

All students who submitted an application for our Virtual School program will be contacted by a school administrator no later than August 14, 2026 regarding the status of their application. At that time, applicants will be notified whether they have been approved or denied admission to the Virtual School program.

📚✨ Commander Academy teacher Tiffani Ballard expanded her knowledge and skills last week by participating in the KDE-OSEEL Kaleidoscope Summer Intensive Cohort!

Hosted by the Kentucky Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Early Learning (OSEEL), the Kaleidoscope Community of Practice provides professional learning for educators focused on improving outcomes for students with disabilities.

Throughout the intensive, participants deepen their understanding of Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) in mathematics, literacy, and behavior, gaining strategies they can bring back to the classroom to better support student success.

We appreciate Mrs. Ballard’s commitment to continuous learning and for investing in the success of our students! ❤️💙💛

💻📚 NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR FALL 2026! 📚💻

Washington County Virtual School is now accepting applications for the Fall Semester of the 2026-2027 school year.

Students entering grades 6-12, including current homeschool students who reside in Washington County, are eligible to apply.

🗓️Application Deadline: August 15, 2026

All applications will be reviewed by the school principal and administrative team. Parents will be contacted in the coming weeks regarding enrollment decisions.

La Escuela Virtual del Condado de Washington (Washington County Virtual School) ya está aceptando solicitudes para el semestre de otoño del año escolar 2026-2027.

Pueden solicitar el ingreso los estudiantes que vayan a cursar de 6.º a 12.º grado, incluidos aquellos que actualmente reciben educación en casa (homeschooling) y residen en el condado de Washington.
