Internship Position- Official Office of U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill, Springfield, Missouri
The Springfield, Missouri office of U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill is seeking interns for the Spring 2016 Semester. Ideal candidates are current undergraduate students majoring in political science, communications, pre-law, social work, or another related field. Intern responsibilities include answering constituent questions via phone, mail, and in person, conducting research on current legislation and district activities, and assisting staff in planning official events for the Senator. Special projects based on interns’ areas of interest may be available. The normal schedule is 10-15 hours per week, but is flexible. This is an unpaid position, but interns may be eligible for college credit dependent upon requirements from their academic department. It should also be noted that this is an official U.S. Senate position and not associated with campaign activities.
