Our school district, based in Springfield, Georgia, currently serves almost 14,500+ students making ours the 33rd largest school system in the state of Georgia. As one of the districts in the top 20% of those across our state, our families can be assured that our students are learning in a safe environment from some of

the best and most capable teachers in Georgia’s educational system. Effingham County educators are preparing students daily towards the goal of obtaining a high school diploma, and that fact is reflected in our steadily increasing graduation rates over the past 10 years. Eight elementary schools

Three Program Schools / Academies:
- Effingham College and Career Academy (ECCA)
- enCompass Academy (EA)
- Crossroads Academy (CA)

Our school district embraces several programs that support our effort to provide rigorous and relevant instruction to each of our students. Both Effingham County High School and South Effingham High School provide a number of Advanced Placement classes that offer college-level instruction to students as well as an opportunity for them to earn college credit during their high school careers. Our school district teachers and staff members are proud of all that the Effingham County school system has to offer its students, and we are committed to working together with all stakeholders to ensure our children receive a strong educational foundation for success in their future endeavors!

On Friday evening before the season opener, South Effingham High officially dedicated its football field as the Mike Harper Field! As the school’s original Athletic Director and Head Football Coach when it opened in 1996, Coach Harper built a lasting legacy of hard work and integrity.

The team capped off the special night by battling through weather delays to score an epic win over Screven County!
